2012 Milestone #8....Lindsay visits New York!!

Lindsay's biological father (whom she has only known for a short time, but that's a story for a different day) transferred to Saratoga Springs, NY in September 2011.  Harold and Jennifer invited Lindsay for a visit over spring break this year.  She got back to Dallas from her mission trip to the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, March 14 and flew to New York on Thursday, March 15.  She came back from New York on Sunday, March 18.  She was completely exhausted, but she had such a memorable week.

Lindsay had a layover in Atlanta on her way to Albany.  We were a little concerned about this layover, because we've heard distressing stories about the craziness of this airport, but she did fine.  She did, however, have to deal with a drunken idiot on her flight from Atlanta to Albany.  When they arrived in Albany, the guy told her he wanted to walk her into the airport and help her find her way around, but Lindsay hung back on the plane trying to avoid this.  Another guy on the flight asked her if she was okay (apparently the passengers around her were a little concerned about her safety with this guy), but she handled the drunken idiot with kid gloves and came out unscathed.  She did panic a little, however, when she reached the steps of the plane to de-board and there stood her "friend" waiting to "show her the way."  She told him her step-mom was waiting for her, but he still stuck with her as they headed into the airport.  She grabbed her phone and called Jennifer and stayed on the phone with her until they met up and she was able to ditch the guy.

On her return flight home, she connected through Washington Dulles.  Apparently, this is the layover where we should have concentrated our prayers!  She had quite a maze to go through from point A to point B, but she did fine.  My baby is growing up!
